The Camp Lejeune Justice Act

Recently, congress passed The Camp Lejeune Justice Act, which confers billions of dollars of benefits to individuals who served in the Marine Corp and were stationed at Camp Lejeune, billeted at the camp awaiting transfer to another Marine base or other assignments, or worked at the camp, between August 1953 through December of 1987 for at least 30 consecutive days. These benefits are in addition to any current VA benefits you may be receiving, and can be applied for even if you have been previously denied benefits for medical conditions related to exposure to tainted water at Camp Lejeune. The benefits are for Veterans, Reservists and Guardsmen. The benefits also apply to any spouse or children who lived on base at camp Lejeune while you served. These benefits are only available to those with an honorable discharge. For 34 years The Marine Corp negligently disposed many types of toxic chemicals which, over time, leached into Camp Lejeune’s potable drinking water. The Marines failed to properly test the camp’s drinking water, which was consumed for decades by Marines and their family members.
